“A cosy, character-filled ski lodge with great hosts, stunning rural views, and everything we needed for a perfect famil Positive: We stayed here as two families (group of 8) for a ski trip and absolutely loved it! The house felt like a mix between a barn and a hunting lodge – full of character and really cosy. The fireplace kept the whole place toasty warm, and the air conditioning was a bonus for comfort. The layout was perfect for a group, with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 3 toilets, so no one was ever waiting. The rural outlook was stunning, and we loved the resident cat and the two hungry pigs in the paddock next door – such a fun and quirky touch. The owners/managers had excellent communication and even checked in to make sure everything was going well, which we really appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming vibe that made it feel like a true ski lodge. We also enjoyed exploring the area – there was a bush walk nearby, and it was only a short trip to Methven where we had some fantastic meals and a relaxing soak in the hot pools. A fantastic base for families or groups heading to the slopes – highly recommend! Negative: Nothing to dislike.

Wonderful place to stay with perfect location for Mount Hutt ski-ing Positive: Hosts were amazing - had the house warm and ready for our arrival and very prompt in any communication. The house is incredibly well equipped. All amenities you could ask for. And a beautiful location Negative: Be warned about the deer and goat heads if you are a vegetarian / animal lover! We've never seen so many on the walls!

Perfect accommodation close to Mt Hutt for 1 or 2 families. Beautiful setting. Positive: Very comfortable accommodation with ample rooms and simple, country style decor. The family room is large and a great space for puzzles and games. We loved having the animals (especially Margie and her friend). it is an absolutely beautiful setting. We would stay here again. Negative: Nothing.

Positive: It was very spacious, and backyard was really nice for our kids to run around.
